Australian Red Cross offers a range of high-quality training courses to educate the public, help prepare new aid workers and international volunteers, and build the skills of practitioners here and in the field. Learn how to deliver effective humanitarian or development assistance meeting high technical and ethical standards in a complex, challenging and sometimes dangerous world.

International Humanitarian Action Training
An inspiring and informative three-day course, designed to teach you what it takes to be an effective aid worker. Courses are facilitated by experienced practitioners and technical experts from Red Cross and other organizations. Participants come from a range of professional backgrounds. After the course, you'll be better prepared to apply for and succeed at volunteer or paid roles with both Australian and overseas agencies.

Capacity Development Across Cultures
A two-day course conducted by Leadership Strategies for aid workers, volunteers and others involved in international and/or cross-cultural programs. Develop skills for building relationships, understanding capacity and working collaboratively to achieve capacity development.

Program Design, Monitoring & Evaluation
A two-day course covering the good practice principles of effective program design, monitoring and evaluation, using the specific tools and processes of the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement as examples.

Implementing Sphere
A three-day course covering the technical standards, concepts and legal framework that underpin the Sphere Project's Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Disaster Response, and looking at practical issues involved in its implementation and dissemination.
