Advanced Clinical Lead Orthotist/Prosthetist

The Advanced Clinical Lead Orthotist/Prosthetist is a recognized clinical expert in rural Orthotics/Prosthetics practice, clinically accountable to the Executive Director of Community and Allied Health Services FUN LHN for the clinical governance and leadership of Orthotics/Prosthetics services across FUNLHN).
 
Reporting to the Restorative Care Team Leader, the Advanced Clinical Lead Orthotist/Prosthetist ensures best practice standards in Orthotics/Prosthetics are maintained in FUNLHN. This is achieved by working in partnership with key stakeholders on service development initiatives, by enabling profession-specific clinical input into human resource processes, through ensuring and enabling compliance with the SA Health Clinical Support Policy and by facilitating access to relevant professional training and clinical support activities by Orthotist/Prosthetist staff and professional students.
 
The Advanced Clinical Lead also plays a leadership role in service quality and workforce development initiatives at the state level, working in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure country people have access to the right service, at the right time, right place and provided by an appropriately skilled and supported team. The incumbent works in collaboration with the other SA Health Advanced Clinical Leads on inter-professional initiatives, acts as the central contact and professional advisor on FUNLHN Orthotics/Prosthetics issues, represents FUNLHN on key forums, and provides expert consultancy services to FUNLHN Executive, service providers and consumers with complex needs.
 
Must hold a recognised allied health qualification within the Orthotics/Prosthetics profession, and be fulfill all requirements as outlined by the Australian Orthotics/Prosthetics Association.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.
