About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and suitably qualified clinical leader to join our team in the role of Assistant Director of Clinical Services. This newly developed role is accountable for:
- Assisting the Director of Clinical Services in providing professional and operational leadership to the clinical workforce,
- All bookings to the hospital in order to ensure the safe, efficient and effective use of resources, and
- Contributing to the development and achievement of strategic initiatives.
The role will work closely with the Hospital Executive to ensure the provision of quality, safe and sustainable health services within the ethos of the philosophy, mission, values and ethics of St Vincent’s Health Australia.
About you
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated high level clinical managerial capability with substantial recent medical/surgical clinical nursing experience
- Demonstrated resource management experience including the ability to manage quality, safety & risk
- Demonstrable leadership skills that reflect the values of the organisation, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded
- Excellent knowledge of relevant regulations, and legislation as they relate to nursing practice.
