Lisa Thurin Women's Health Centre
Cabrini recently opened the first private, voluntary, women’s-only mental health facility in Australia. Located in Elsternwick, the new Lisa Thurin Women's Health Centre service will focus on treatment for a number of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. A short stay mental health program will be supported with intensive day program, telehealth and community support. We are seeking candidates for the position of Associate Nurse Manager.

Associate Nurse Manager (Women’s Mental Health)
The Associate Nurse Manager will be responsible for the delivery of compassionate and respectful patient care, including the supervision of care given by nurses and leadership in the overall clinical management of the ward.

Both full time and part time positions are available. Free parking on site.

Salary range for an ANUM is $50.96 to $52.68 per hour plus superannuation depending on experience (in accordance with the Cabrini Acute Care Nurses & Midwives EBA).

To be considered for this role you will require the following attributes:

  • Post-graduate Mental Health qualification or equivalent with advanced clinical skills, knowledge and experience in the areas of mental health and dual diagnosis nursing (Desirable).
  • Recent clinical experience in a range of mental health settings including inpatient and community (Desirable).
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and demonstrated ability to problem solve, negotiate and communicate with staff and other service providers.
  • Ability to conduct relevant risk assessments including mental health risk assessment, mental state examinations and assessments for mood disorders, substance-use disorder and complex traumatic stress disorders.
  • Understanding of the accreditation process, participation in quality improvement activities and clinical redesign projects which support the quality process.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse.
