Clinical Nurse Educator/Registered Nurse (Angiography)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Registered Nurse /CNE to work in our Angiography department on a full-time basis.

With this exciting opportunity, the successful candidate will combine their passion for patient-centered care and staff development working across admissions and perioperative areas. As part of your role, you will provide pre, post -op and intraoperative care in a fast paced environment for cardiac and interventional procedures. You will work as a part of a dedicated and highly skilled team, and you will be responsible for the development, delivery, assessment and evaluation of programs and educational activities that promote and reflect best practice standards. You will also work closely with the Director of Nursing and participate in an on call roster.

Our state of the art Angiography Suite offers the following services.

  • Coronary and Vascular angiography
  • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
  • Cardiac electrophysiology (EP) services, including diagnostic EP and Ablation procedures.
  • Interventional Radiology
  • Cardiac Device Implantation

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A current AHPRA Registration
  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 4 years post graduate experience in Angiography/Cath lab.
  • A Post Graduate Qualification and Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment (or working towards)
  • Proven clinical knowledge – CNE in the Angiography Suite are expected to have an in-depth knowledge on Cardiovascular and Coronary Artery Disease including risk factors, diagnosis and treatment options in the specific area of practice with a commitment to professional development and clinical teaching.
  • Strong commitment to and demonstration of the values of compassion, integrity, justice and excellence.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication with demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality customer service.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cost containment and resource management
  • The ability to work autonomously and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A commitment to nursing professionalism, lifelong learning and patient centred care.
  • A proficient level in electronic medical records, Microsoft word/excel and web based research.


  • Post-graduate qualifications in the areas of Cardiac and/or Vascular Nursing
  • Nursing experience in interventional angiography/radiology
