Clinical Nurse Manager | Derby

Juniper is currently seeking applications for the vacancy of Clinical Nurse Manager at our Juniper Numbala Nunga and Ngamang Bawoona aged care homes. Located in the Kimberley town of Derby, these sites provide care for up to 43 residents in an enabling and culturally appropriate manner.  This may be a great move for you if you are an experienced Registered Nurse with a demonstrated ability to lead teams, champion quality and promote best practice.

In this role, you will be responsible for clinical leadership, coordinating resident care and facilitating the provision of person centred, clinical and care services at the site. You will work with the Residential Manager and a multidisciplinary team including Allied Health practitioners, to ensure all services are provided in a manner that recognises the importance of helping residents maintain their quality of life and exercise their rights as individuals.  The successful applicant will be appointed to a full time position, working Monday to Friday, within core business hours.

Key Responsibilities of this role:

• Comprehensive clinical assessment and review of residents' care needs
• Provide leadership and promote a collaborative approach to clinical and care staff to ensure delivery of person-centred care
• Actively supporting and working cohesively with the clinical care team
• Support the Residential Manager in identifying training needs and performance management of clinical and care staff
• Facilitate and coordinate the admission process for new residents
• Review ACFI appraisals prior to being submitted to Medicare, analysing and reporting any anomalies to the Residential Manager

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required: 

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• Previous experience leading clinical and/or care teams (desirable)
• Previous experience delivering care to Aboriginal residents 
• Comprehensive knowledge of evidence based clinical and care practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement, accreditation requirements, ATSI and ACFI funding requirements and documentation
• Experience with clinical problem solving and a commitment to delivering high quality, resident focused care
• Satisfactorily pass all relevant Key Personnel checks including Bankruptcy, Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Essential: A requirement of being Key Personnel of an Aged Care organisation is that you are not a 'disqualified individual'. Are you insolvent under administration, i.e. are you currently bankrupt?
