Clinical Nurse Manager | Fitzroy Crossing

We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Registered Nurse to undertake the role of Clinical Nurse Manager at our Juniper Guwardi Ngadu facility located at Fitzroy Crossing.  Juniper Guwardi Ngadu provides essential ATSI flexible services and mixed care for 24 older Aboriginal people within the Kimberley area of Far North Western Australia in an enabling and culturally appropriate manner.

In this role, you will be responsible for clinical leadership, coordinating resident care and facilitating the provision of person centred, clinical and care services at the site. You will work with the Residential Manager and a Multidisciplinary team including Allied Health practitioners, to ensure all services are provided in a manner that recognises the importance of helping residents maintain their quality of life and exercise their rights as individuals.

The successful applicant will be appointed to a full time position, working Monday to Friday, within the core business hours.

Key Responsibilities of this role:

• Comprehensive clinical assessment and review of residents' care needs
• Provide leadership and promote a collaborative approach to clinical and care staff to ensure delivery of person-centred care
• Actively supporting and working cohesively with the clinical care team
• Support the Residential Manager in identifying training needs and performance management of clinical and care staff
• Facilitate and coordinate the admission process for new residents

 The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• Previous experience leading clinical and/or care teams
• Comprehensive knowledge of evidence based clinical and care practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement, accreditation requirements, ACFI funding requirements and documentation
• Experience with clinical problem solving and a commitment to delivering high quality, resident focused care
• Familiarity with ATSI and associated documentation
• Satisfactorily pass all relevant Key Personnel checks including Bankruptcy, Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening checks
