Are you looking to develop your Clinical Leadership and Operational Management Skills? 

 Exciting Opportunities for Senior Registered Nurses to join our new 24/7 Hospital Functioning Model of Care as a Clinical Nurse Manager, to support Children, their families and our staff at Starship Children’s Hospital.We are interested in hearing from those who are already experienced in this area as well as those who are keen to take the first step into a senior nursing/leadership role!
In July 2017 we implemented this new model and need your nursing leadership and operational management capability to support delivery of excellent clinical care and in collaboration with Starship Children’s Hospital personnel and our 24/7 Clinical Nurse Manager Team.
As a successful Candidate you will have:
  • A current annual practicing certificate and be a NZ registered nurse
  • A minimum of 5 years paediatric clinical practice experience in an acute care setting
  • Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist or Clinical Charge Nurse in a paediatric healthcare environment would be advantageous
  • Strong clinical background and expertise – variety in experience
  • The ability to work collaboratively and autonomously – whilst keeping calm under pressure  
We see this role as an incredible development opportunity for nurses already working at the top of their scope and will support successful applicants with a comprehensive orientation and induction.
You will be required to have enthusiasm to develop within the role and beyond as this is a career pathway to other nursing leadership positions, both Clinical and non-Clinical
These are Permanent part-time roles: Monday to Sunday.

For internal applicants this could be the opportunity to have an additional role or internal transfer depending on their current FTE.
