About the Role
The Complex Care Services (CCS) Lead Psychologist, will take overall responsibility of the CCS Psychology Service. As a CCS Clinical Psychologist, you will provide primary consultations with clients in the community, perform clinical diagnostic assessments and establish a management plan as part of the interdisciplinary team.
Psychological intervention includes identification and referral to appropriate ongoing psychological support. Secondary consultation to colleagues and the provision of formal education across the Health Independence Program (HIP) is an essential component of the clinical expertise that the psychologist provides.
- Lead the CCS Psychology Service - including regular collaborative consultation, mentoring and clinical case review with other CCS Psychologist and take overall responsibility for professional issues and service delivery across CCS.
- Direct clinical provision of high quality and evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention, education and management.
- Recommend and/or provide appropriate clinical intervention and/or refer on for longer term, community based psychological support.
- Provide secondary consultation and advice to the multidisciplinary team.
- As required, provide formal education to CCS and / or the wider HIP group.
Classifications for this position will range from classification range Grade 3 PL1 - PL4 ($108,279 - $123,905 per annum).
Your Contribution
- Masters or Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology recognised by the Australian Psychological Society.
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration as a clinical psychologist.
- More than 5 years’ experience as an endorsed clinical psychologist (at grade 2 level or equivalent)
- Experience in the community, addressing the needs of clients living with chronic diseases and/or complex health needs or psychosocial conditions.
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team, with demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with a wide range of health professionals and social care services to facilitate the achievement of health and wellbeing outcomes.
- Current Nationally coordinated criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Health Independence Program
This position is part of the Health Independence Program (HIP). The intent of HIP is to deliver improved outcomes for clients and to support hospital demand management and flow, through delivering integrated and coordinated care to clients across the hospital and community interface, reducing duplication and fragmentation of services and ensuring client centred care planning.
SVHM HIP consists of integrated hub sites across several locations including in Fitzroy, Kew, North Richmond and Fairfield.
This position will be part of HIP Complex Care Services (CCS) based in the Complex Care and Chronic Disease Team.
