Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator | Dialysis Unit

About the Role

You will be a Registered Nurse with renal and research experience who will facilitate the undertaking of Best Fluids, transplant clinical trial within the St Vincent’s Renal service. You will be responsible for the primary coordination of clinical trial. The role involves delivery of direct and in-direct clinical-trial-related care of patients, associated data collection and maintenance of essential trial documents for concurrent studies.

Duties

  • Coordinate and manage clinical Trials at St Vincent’s Hospital
  • Manage the care of patients participating in clinical trial, ensuring compliance with the trial protocol, reporting requirements and ICH-GCP guidelines
  • Accurate and timely source documentation and data entry, and the maintenance of essential documents that validate integrity in the conduct of the clinical trial
  • Provide finance administration when required (invoicing, budget tracking, trial payments)
  • Liaise with Principal Investigator, multidisciplinary team and trial monitors

Classifications for this position will be classification YX13 ($107, 120 per annum pro rata).

Your Contribution

  • Degree in general Nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience in research and/ or renal nursing
  • Sound knowledge of ICH-GCP or willingness to acquire and adhere to GCP, regulatory, ethics, privacy and other applicable guidelines
  • Excellent team working skills with ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Developed computer literacy skills.
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
