About the Role
St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking an experienced Consultant Neurologist to join the Clinical Neurosciences team, specialising in the care of patients with Multiple Sclerosis and neuro-immunological conditions.
The key responsibilities of this role include: - Leading MS clinics, conducting comprehensive assessments and developing personalised treatment plans
- Participating on the ward service roster to provide inpatient care and consultation for patients with complex neurological conditions
- Actively contributing to neuro-immunology clinical trials and research programs
- Supervising and providing training to neurology registrars
Classifications for this position will range from HN16 - HN56 ($156.29 - $203.37 per hour) depending on years of experience.
Your Contribution
- Current registration as a medical practitioner with AHPRA
- FRACP or equivalent specialist qualification
- Demonstrated skills in clinical care, communication, leadership and teaching
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and research activities
- Current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain

Neurosciences is a multidisciplinary unit dedicated to improving the understanding and treatment of neurological disorders. The unit provides a complete clinical and diagnostic service and maintains a strong research focus, principally centred on epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and movement disorders. For some years now, clinical trial research has formed the bedrock of our research activities, enhancing our global research status while transforming patients' lives locally by providing cutting-edge therapies to a much-needed patient population.
