Early Childhood Intervention Coordinator : Ballarat


  • Full-time position, PT negotiable

Well-established community health is seeking an enthusiastic  Early Childhood Intervention Coordinator (OT, Speech Pathologist, Physio, RN, Psych or equivalent)  to join their busy team. The ECEI Coordinator will be working as a key member of a trans-disciplinary team, implementing the NDIS ECEI approach to assist all children with developmental delay and/or disability and supporting their families to achieve better long term outcomes through support services in their local community.

Delivering quality care when and where it best meets the client’s need including on-site, at home and in the community. You will be responsible for assessments, developing goals, planning and delivery of paediatric occupational therapy/speech therapy/physiotherapy services in accordance with NDIS ECEI approach and organisational framework. Undertaking accurate, timely documentation, participating in quality improvement and professional development activities.

Demonstrating a high level of commitment to the service that reflects a positive engaging culture with all encounters including clients groups, individuals and stakeholder discussions. Maintaining a professional relationship with external stakeholders and contribute to the development of students undertaking placements.

To be considered for this role you will need the following;
  • Occupational Therapy/Speech Pathology/Physiotherapy degree
  •  AHPRA registration or equivalent professional membership
  •  Current Victorian driver license
  •  Employee Working with Children Check and a satisfactory criminal record check
  •  Physically fit and able to undertake all aspects of the role
  • Ability to travel across the service delivery area and work independently as require
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of risk when working with clients and application of safety precautions
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act (2013)
  • Proactive, constructive and creative approaches to problem solving for service delivery
  • Demonstrated skills in organisation, time management, planning and priority setting
  • Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and education
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs and familiarity with internet and web-based applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to listen, lead and influence
  • Understanding of trans-disciplinary collaborative practice
  • Experience in working within a community or human services setting
