About the Role
If you are passionate about palliative care nursing and have a strong commitment for evidence based, patient centered care we would love to hear from you.- Work collaboratively within the EN scope of practice to ensure the provision of high quality, evidence based nursing practice.
- The identification and corrective management of patient risks including skin integrity, falls and medication management.
- Accurately document patient care in accordance with health service guidelines.
- Liaise with the patient, patient’s family, medical and ancillary staff as required or requested
- Actively participate and contribute to all quality improvements including monthly audits
- Act as a role model and support for junior staff in all clinical aspects
Classifications for the EN position will range from IB68 - IB72 ($66,856 - $71,141 per annum).
Your Contribution- Current Nursing Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
- NMBA approved qualification in administration of medicines with an Administration of Medicines scope
- Certificate IV of Nursing or a Diploma of Nursing as recognised by the the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.
- Palliative care experience desirable

About the Palliatice Care Unit
The palliative care in-patient unit at Caritas Christi specialises in the care of patients with life limiting illnesses who may also have multiple medical co-morbidities. Our patients are admitted for end of life care, symptom management and occasional respite. Specialised assessment, care and discharge planning is provided by an inter-disciplinary team.
