Executive Director Workforce and Engagement

University Of Queensland

Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will lead the delivery of comprehensive strategic and operational human resource, workforce health and safety, and engagement solutions, ensuring alignment and delivery consistent with strategic and business plans.

While working to raise our health service profile and health outcomes, you will work strategically to collaborate and co-ordinate with key providers and stakeholders, as well as being an influential and respectful champion for the needs of Torres and Cape communities.

Dimensions:
  • Annual Budget: $3.5m operational
  • Direct Reports: 17 standard FTE
  • Indirect Reports: N/A
  • HR Services for all 1000 (MOHRI)
To be successful:

You'll have a proven track record in delivery of comprehensive strategic and operational human resource, workforce health and safety, and engagement solutions, preferably in a comparable human services environment. All these elements have a direct impact on the provision of health care services.

You'll possess excellent interpersonal skills. Able to cultivate productive relationships while communicating with influence. Exemplifying personal drive and integrity while displaying personal commitment to the purpose and philosophy of the public service, presenting a united leadership voice and support for other leaders.

Appropriate and relevant management and business qualifications are desired for this role, and experience in the health service delivery environment is viewed as essential. (Minimum of 10 years in a Senior Human Resource generalist role for a large complex organisation will be well regarded).
