Exercise Physiologist

As a Graduate or experienced Exercise Physiologist, you will join the team at our Mount Isa GP Super Clinic, QLD, on a Full-Time basis, working 38 hours a week for 12 months commencing June 2020. Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of health and wellness programs, injury prevention, health screening, training and onsite medical services, as well as general administration duties for the team.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Assessment and treatment for work-related and non-work related injuries
  • Assessment and development of tailored individual exercise programs for clients with Chronic disease
  • Take patient histories and conduct physical examinations
  • Conduct musculoskeletal and fitness testing
  • Follow-up monitoring and care as directed through health assessments and/or GPMP/TCAs
  • In collaboration with health professionals, manage the establishment and day to day running of appropriate CDM programs
  • Deliver CDM sessions to clients participating in health education programs in areas relevant to exercise physiology as required
  • Administration duties
  • Communication and liaison with clients
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
You will have a tertiary qualification in Exercise Science or related disciplines together with the following:
  • Accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
  • Experience working in a variety of environments and location will be highly regarded
  • Current Senior First Aid qualifications
  • Developed Microsoft Office skills and the ability to write reports
  • Be able to relocate to Mount Isa
