About the role
Your Community Health is seeking an enthusiastic General Practitioner to join the Medical Services Team as we expand our services through the establishment of a General Practice Respiratory Clinic (GPRC) at our East Reservoir site.

The service is State/NWMPHN funded and recognizes the critical role of primary care can play in supporting people to access respiratory assessments and COVID-19 testing and care close to where they live and reducing demand on hospitals, including presentations to emergency departments for respiratory-type symptoms.

The GPRC will support people of all ages with respiratory symptoms to access a comprehensive respiratory assessment (including COVID-19 testing) and receive immediate support in the management of their illness. Services will be available to those with or without a Medicare card, at no cost to the patient, with the facility open after hours.

Reporting to the GPRC Clinical Lead, the position will also support the provision of professional, high quality and holistic medical services as part of the Medical Services and/or COVID Positive Pathways teams; supported by an integrated and diverse multidisciplinary allied health and community health services team. Medical and Specialist services are offered within a mixed-billing framework.

  • Aboriginal health
  • General medicine
  • Health checks for over 75's
  • Chronic disease management
  • COVID-19 Vaccination clinic
  • Healthy liver clinic
  • Lymphoedema clinic
  • Mental health nursing
  • Pathology (by Austin Pathology)
  • Pharmacotherapy clinic
  • Refugee Health clinic
  • Specialist Paediatric Development and Behavioural clinic
  • Trans and gender diverse health
  • Vitamin D clinic
To succeed in this role you will have:
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Vocational Recognition through fellowship with the RACGP or ACRRM
  • Applied knowledge and skills in the area of general practice and respiratory medicine
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of marginalised people and their ability to access services.
