About Department
St Vincent’s BreastScreen aims to reduce the morbidity and mortality due to breast cancer through the early detection of the disease. The program adheres to the values of St Vincent’s health which reflect the mission of BreastScreen Victoria to strive for excellence, collaboration, access, acceptability and improvements in detection and treatment of breast cancer.
About the Role
Perform screening and assessment mammography and associated quality assurance at St Vincent’s BreastScreen and its associated screening site, The Rose Clinic David Jones Women’s store in Bourke Street Melbourne
Classifications for this position will range between AT6 - AT9 ($93,860.00 - $107234.40 per annum, pro rata for part time)
Duties
- Coordinate and maintain records of assessment clinic visits of radiographers from associated screening sites. NAS requirement.
- Coordinate and maintain records of radiographer quarterly Continuing Education meetings.
- Training and improving skills of staff. This may include site visits to associated screening sites.
- Maintain a high standard of mammography with particular regard to client’s individual needs
- Participate in ongoing education and training in mammography to ensure registration is maintained
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy recognised Diploma or Degree in Medical Radiation Technology or equivalent
- Certificate of Mammographic Practice in Clinical Proficiency of Mammography (CMP)
- Current licence under the Radiation Protection Act 1982 to operate irradiating apparatus in Victoria
- Current AHPRA registration
