  • Part-time (0.5 FTE) 2 Year Fixed Term and base salary $104k – 123k p.a plus superannuation 
About the opportunity 
 
We are seeking to appoint a registered nurse with an academic background to the education-focused role of Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing. The position will teach in both pre- and post-registration nursing courses and undertake unit of study coordination commensurate with a 0.5FTE appointment. The position will also contribute to faculty service, for example in a student advisor role, and engage in scholarly activities related to pedagogical practice.
 
 
About you

  • a PhD or Master of Philosophy or enrolled in either
  • Master’s level qualification in mental health nursing
  • a proven ability, commitment and passion for engaging in scholarly activities to inform innovative pedagogical practice
  • deep and broad experience in teaching and learning in a tertiary environment, as evidenced by participation in team teaching within an established program and experience in teaching in a variety of settings
  • demonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives
  • a developing network of relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions, partners and stakeholders
  • experience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activities
  • demonstrated capacity to stimulate, actively engage and educate an audience using a range of media.
