We are looking for a passionate Medical Receptionist to support to be based in our Brisbane, QLD clinic. You are responsible for supporting the functioning of a busy medical practice and providing exceptional patient care. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality, accurate and efficient reception and administration services to the business that meet professional and company standards. Ensuring an absolute commitment to the delivery of professional, caring and friendly services to patients, referrers and customer with consideration to achieving quality and productivity targets as set by the business.

What you’ll do:
- Maintain efficient and accurate diary management, including following up on cancellations, no shows and rescheduled appointments
- Booking and confirming patients for tests and consultations
- Meet and greet patients attending the clinic and maintain scheduling of appointments
- Ensure all patients are fully financially consented and prepared for any consulting or testing services
- Attend to and finalise all patient tasks in a timely manner
- Ensure all patient queries, ward requests and doctor requests are dealt with and finalised in a timely manner
- Incoming call management: answering the phone within three rings; dealing with callers enquiries and assessing urgency of enquiry in accordance with practice guidelines and supporting other staff members in managing their calls.
- Complete all opening and closing procedures as outlined in site manuals
- Finalise daily banking
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records
- Participate in the identification and implementation of service improvement initiatives
- Liaising with management if any adjustments of efforts within a day are needed to meet reception demands
Who you are:
- Experience in medical reception
- Experience in computerised billing and receipting
- An ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team
- An ability to carefully plan, organise and prioritise tasks
- An understanding of customer service principles with an ability to respond sensitively to patient needs
- The ability to work under pressure and respond to fluctuating workflow and internal / external demands
- The ability to follow direction; accept feedback; learn new tasks and adapt to change
