Medical Receptionist

GenesisCare Cardiology is looking for an energetic, efficient and professional individual to join our centre as a Medical Receptionist and support our practice based at The Sandford Jackson, Auchenflower. This is a permanent part-time contract working 3 days per week.

You will be responsible for providing administrative and support to staff, patients and clinicians to ensure that a high quality, professional and efficient administration service is consistently provided to patients.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure that the centre is ready for business, booking and confirming patients' appointments
  • Maintaining the diary and ensuring that all relevant paperwork and administrative processes are completed for appointments
  • Receive and organise referrals of patients & promptly take relevant action
  • Ensure all systems are used effectively to administer bookings
  • Promote a positive image of the company and foster good community relations
  • Have a working knowledge of the range of products and services offered to patients and inform and educate patients about our products and services whenever appropriate
  • Receive payments for products and services
  • Maintain patient records

Who you are:

  • Demonstrated ability in an administrative role within a busy, customer focused environment, medical preferred
  • Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of patient billing systems and related Medicare funding mechanisms
  • Ability to use clinical administration systems, as well as Microsoft Office software
  • Collaborative approach in working with the wider Administration team and other internal customers, in line with the organisations’ values.
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Diploma of Medical Administration or equivalent experience preferred
