Medical Registrar

The Role:
We are seeking driven and experienced General Medicine Registrar/Senior Registrars (accredited for training) to join an established team in a region coastal setting, providing inpatient/outpatient and outreach services to the community.

Responsible for the day-to-day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the allocated site/facility. Provide after-hours emergency as determined by the relevant work unit.

The Region has 2 major sites located approximately 50 km apart. This position will be attractive to a highly skilled and motivated medical professional who views challenges as opportunities and is driven by a passion to improve healthcare in the complex world of modern health systems.

One Hospital has a 30-bed general medical and palliative ward, and the Acute Medical Unit is a 6-bed ward. It is accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians for Basic Physician Training Level One, Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) for 12 months training in the discipline of Adult Internal Medicine for doctors working towards fellowship qualifications.

The other Hospital has 34 acute beds and a recently opened 12 bed Rehabilitation Unit. The trainees are actively involved in ward rounds and patient assessment and management and find they are well prepared for further registrar training opportunities.

Salary: $95,697-$135,411 per annum + 10% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Skills & Qualifications required:
General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
Team Player
Dedicated, professional and excellent communication skills
