Working in consultation with other members of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the provision of high level paediatric haematology/oncology care and advice. You will be an expert resource for patients, families, health care professionals, educational institutions and the community across South Australia and the Northern Territory. You will accept accountability for your nursing practice, professional advice given, delegations of care made, and strive to address inconsistencies between practice and policy. Demonstrating an advanced level of nursing practice in the care and management of oncology patients, you will have the ability to work as an autonomous practitioner or as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also bring experience in developing policies, procedures and models of care in the relevant area of clinical practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will equip you to interact effectively with patients from a diverse range of backgrounds.

The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time. Applicants are encouraged to discuss the flexible working arrangements for this role.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.
