The OT team delivers an extensive range of acute in-patient, residential, home and community based services. This is a great opportunity to step up and provide supervision, manage and train team of OT, AHA and students.  Part of the role will also include Clinical management , service development and quality improvement so this is a diverse role. Join their large multi-disciplinary team of allied health professionals. Patient demographics are varied and typical of rural including a large farming community, ageing community with chronic and complex diseases

Key Selection Criteria:
  • A Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification)
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Eligible to register with Medicare
  • Demonstrated commitment to holistic patient centred care
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute and practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated sound level of clinical skills and ability to work safety within scope of practice
  • Commitment to flexibility and innovation in practice including an evidence based approach to care
  • Highly proficient in the use of a range of computer software programs including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and time management skills
  •  Experience in a rural health setting is desirable
  • National Police Check (renewed every 3 years)
  • Working with Children Check (renewed every 5 years)
  • Current drivers licence
 East Grampians Health Service aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a vast array of services to the community in Ararat with a newly re-developed Community Health Service. We offer outreach services to Willaura as well as the Bush Nursing Centres in Lake Bolac and Elmhurst and also provide contracted clinical services to correctional facilities in the immediate region. Our services include Dental, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Diabetes Education and Social Work.  These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients. Our community health centre also hosts speciality clinics such as consulting suites for visiting surgeons and Maternal Child Health Nurses.
