Implexa Allied Health practice based in Ballarat aims to empower children and teens to reach their full potential, using evidence based practice. Their mission is to support clients to reach their goals and dreams while engaging in fun and positive activities tailored to their individual needs.

Ballarat: is Victoria’s largest inland city is a thriving area for food and wine, cultural and community activities, education and sport. Known by locals as being one hour from everything – one hour to the beach, one hour to the mountains, one hour to the snow, and just over one hour to Melbourne.

Due to growth Implexa Allied Health has an opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join their fun multidisciplinary team and help children reach their full potential and make a difference in their lives.

Working collaboratively with team of allied health professionals as well as interact and work very closely with families to produce the best possible outcomes for children and teens from six months to 18 years old.  You will be delivering creative and engaging programs one on one, in group settings, schools, clinic and home visits.

Gain exposure to a diverse but manageable caseload across wide range of diagnosis including Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disabilities, sensory processing disorder, fine and gross motor, low muscle tone and handwriting delays and supporting skill development.

With heaps of support on offer, and new Grads will be allocated a supervisor to provide consistent mentoring and support in all areas of practice, including report writing, assessment completion, all to assist you in building your career.

Key Essential Criteria: (please address this in your cover letter)
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration
  • Strong communication, written, verbal and interpersonal skills and good time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Experience and interest in working with children
  • Ability to handle diverse and manageable case load
  • Have current Australian driver’s license and own car
  • Working with Children Check will be required
