Occupational Therapist Grade 1 or Grade 2 : Morwell


  • Full time or part-time negotiable position with 45.6 to 76 hours per fortnight

A multidisciplinary community health service is seeking an experienced OT to join their Central Integrated Primary Health team. The team includes five OTs, nurses, a chronic disease management team and specialist nursing.

You will provide OT services to clients living in the Morwell and Traralgon communities, and ensure they are eligible for services under funding streams such as community health, HACC, private health, Medicare Benefits Schedule, Department of Veterans, and Aged Care packages.

Key requirements:
  • A strong desire to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a community setting
  • Sound knowledge of Occupational Therapy theory and practice with a particular interest in delivering services within a community health setting
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to undertake the provision of services within the scope of the role
  • Understanding of funding streams within the scope of the role
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen, lead and influence
  • Ability to institute quality assurance measures to work practices and contribute to the development of quality systems
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs, and familiarity with web-based applications
  • Occupational Therapy degree
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (or be in the process of applying)
  • Ability to undertake registration for provision of services under the relevant funding streams
  • Current Victorian drivers licence
  • Experience in a community setting
  • Experience with the provision of services using a provider number
