Occupational Therapist - Mildura

Are you passionate about working in community health and want to be part of a large team where you directly impact the lives of your clients and families? This is a perfect opportunity to join a dynamic multi-disciplinary allied health team where your work will focus on enabling clients in the community to live safely and independently.

There are two roles available for both a new graduate and Grade 2 Occupational Therapist. One is paediatric base working with birth to 18 year old age group who are living in the community and require support to improve independence and function in daily living. Helping children with autism, MBS and capacity building work in preschool early years services and schools. Various funding streams supported.

The other role is working with clients aged 18 upwards with varied demographics including, but are not limited to, non-English speaking, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, refugees, elderly, people with a disability. 

Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy
  • AHPRA registration
  • Experience in providing client and family centred evidence based occupational therapy services, including thorough care planning
  • An understanding of confidentiality and infection control
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Highly developed problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Member of OT Australia
  • Current driving licence
  • Demonstrated leadership within OT or multidisciplinary team
  • Five years clinical experience with adults and/or paediatric cases
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
