Occupational Therapist

  • Total Indicative Remuneration: $71,596 - $87,209 p.a  - Temp P/T (67.5 hours per f/n) - AHP1 
Under the direct supervision of a more senior Occupational Therapist, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive range of health services to meet the needs of the community in the Mid North Region in Clare. To achieve this, you will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team including health professionals and service providers from other sectors. You will utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy and evaluation approaches to manage a caseload which may include the clinical areas of inpatients (surgical, medical, high dependency, rehabilitation and day surgery) outpatients (adults and paediatrics), domiciliary care, outpatient groups and outreach services.

You will hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy, and be eligible for practicing membership of Occupational Therapy Australia.  You will be skilled in supporting clients, carers and families across the Patient Journey, providing effective assessment and triage, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care and prompt follow-up. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will equip you to interact effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, as well as working well within a multidisciplinary team environment.

This is a part time vacancy, working 67.5 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.
