Occupational Therapist(Adult/Community/NDIS) - Mildura


  • Full-time or part-time (flexible hours to suit, no weekends)
  • Varied caseload including Adult/Community/NDIS
  • Provision of all equipment required

This is a unique role that offers so much diversity maintaining a senior Clinical case load for adults, Community and NDIS referrals with physical and cognitive needs. There is also opportunity for those with interest in mental health to build this service to meet the local demands . You will work with a dynamic caseload which can be tailored to suit your skills and interest. with many multicultural clients.

As well as providing clinical services in areas such as falls prevention, discharge planning and home safety, home modifications, prescribing tools and equipment, capacity building, complex injuries through TAC/ICare and you will also take on health promotion and education activities.

Working with a diverse and multicultural patient demographic providing support in community health, inpatients at private hospital,transitional aged care, and mining industry, Occupational Therapy Driver assessment and rehab and as a NDIS provider deliver services in the home and Community.

Senior OT's will be responsible for clinical educator role, supervision, mentoring of therapists and students as well as reporting and service improvement activities and advising and assisting the director.

Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • AHPRA registration
  • Experience in OT service provision in rural communities
  • Advanced experience with private funding bodies NDIS, DAV, Workcover etc
  • Experience in evaluation of clinical practice and service improvement activities
  • Experience in rehab of clients with complex injuries, Spinal cord, ABI, amputee
  • Experience in managing upper limb conditions
  • Experience across both community health and inpatient
  • Supervision and mentoring experience
  • Training in Hand therapy and member of AHTA
  • Membership of Australian Association of Occupational Therapists
