This is an opportunity for Grade 2 Physiotherapist who is passionate about working with children to join their dynamic friendly team. The position will work between all Nexus sites and also on an outreach basis and in client homes where appropriate.
You will fulfill a diverse and flexible role in the provision of physiotherapy services to children with special needs. The role is designed to provide timely specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention through variety of funding sources. You will provide clinical assessment and evidenced based treatment of gross and fine motor skills for children up to 18 years of age.
The Physiotherapists form part of the Children’s Allied Health Team, which includes a variety of allied health disciplines who work together including participating in case conferencing and multidisciplinary care planning where appropriate.
As a Grade 2 you will also have opportunity to supervise and support Grade 1 Physios and students, Allied Health Assistants and other students undertaking placements. There is also Health education/Promotion responsibilities and you will play a role in the planning, implementation and evaluation processes of program development and projects.

Key Selection Criteria: (Please address this in your cover letter)
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy)
- Registration with AHPRA and membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
- Advanced paediatric clinical knowledge and skill base representing practice at a grade 2 practitioner level.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to initiate and maintain contacts with, clients, team members and a range of service providers.
- Ability to provide timely specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention to clients through variety of funding sources including NDIS.
- Experience working in a Community Health setting is desirable
- Current Level II First Aid Certificate
- Current Victorian Driver’s license
