Patient Administration Officer- Day Surgery

The Opportunity

We have an available Patient Administration Officer (full-time or part-time) position in our Day Surgery Unit.

We are a dynamic department within an organisation strongly aligned with our values of compassion, integrity, justice and excellence. The Day Surgery unit receives patients from 13 theatres and an Endoscopy theatre. We care for patients from a wide variety of surgical specialties including orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, breast surgery, melanoma and plastics, endoscopy and angiography procedures. We offer roster flexibility, structured and supportive orientation and great learning opportunities. The unit is currently open Monday to Friday from 0600am to 2030pm.


About You

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience with:

  • Excellent written & oral communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong commitment to a continuous improvement philosophy
  • Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Commitment to continued professional development
