Along with that, our facility also houses the Baiada Murrumbidgee Clinical Teaching and Learning Centre, a purpose-built education facility that fosters and develops the next generation of medical staff in our region.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Patient Care Orderly (PCO) to join the team at St Vincent’s Private Community Hospital Griffith. As a PCO, you will be responsible for transporting patients safely throughout the hospital and delivering person-centred care under supervision of Registered Nurses. The right candidate will be responsible for assisting with patients for both the Inpatient Unit and Perioperative department.

  • Relevant Qualification in the filed.
  • Experience working within an acute health care clinical setting.
  • A commitment to the Philosophy, Mission, Values and Ethics and Code of Conduct of St Vincent’s Health Australia.
  • Strong commitment to provide excellent clinical care.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.
  • High-level computer literacy.
  • Strong relationships and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and as a part of a team.

Essential requirements

  • In accordance to guidelines set by NSW Health, all SVPHS employees are required to have up to date vaccinations before commencement. It is encouraged that you ensure your vaccinations are current ahead of time as you may be requested to provide documentation at interview stage.
  • Criminal record checks will be conducted and will form part of the selection criteria for this role.

Salary
