About the Role
You will assist the pharmacist in the delivery of pharmacy services by following established guidelines and procedures, whilst under the immediate direction of a pharmacist.
- Dispense prescriptions or inpatient medicines for checking by a pharmacist
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of pharmaceuticals, consumables and stationery.
- Undertake expiry date checking and rotation of stock.
- Accurately completing paperwork from prescriptions to enable PBS claiming
Classification for this position is TH6 ($62,540 per annum).
Your Contribution
- Certificate III in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) course or equivalent awarded by a registered Training Organisation or as approved by the Pharmacy Board of Victoria
- Computer knowledge and skill
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Displayed ability of work as a member of a team
- Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the Pharmacy Department
St Vincent’s Hospital Pharmacy Department pharmacy services are decentralised, and are provided from several satellite pharmacies located in patient treatment areas. We provide pharmacy services to inpatients, outpatients and correctional facilities. Pharmacy technicians, as part of the pharmacy support team, support pharmacists is their work within a multidisciplinary health care environment which delivers care in a patient focused manner.
