The position requires you to deliver physiotherapy services as a part of a multidisciplinary team and participates in planning, implementing and evaluation of the services provided.

The physiotherapist will offer comprehensive primary health care and chronic management in an outpatient and inpatient setting, including, individual and group programs like falls prevention, strength training and multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs. You will also gain experience in working acute environment where you deliver mobility assessments, chest physiotherapy and some post-surgical patients following minor surgeries.

The caseload will primarily include older demographics with post-surgical or post-rehabilitation requirements and also patients with long term chronic conditions looking for rehabilitation programs such as “Stall the fall”.

Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor in Physiotherapy which meets the registration requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Approved tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
  • Current national registration as a physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) - Eligible for membership of Australian Physiotherapy Association
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Demonstrated clinical decision-making capacity within a diverse community setting
  • Teamwork and Communication - ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment and practice in a semi-autonomous capacity
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Accurate and timely documentation and recording - including familiarity with clinical software packages and sound computer proficiency
  • Improving Care - understand continuous improvement principles
  • Accountability - Understand the application of National Safety and Quality Standards to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory bodies is maintained
  • Professional Behaviour-Ensure behaviour meets professional and public sector code of conduct
  • Health and Safety Compliance - Demonstrated awareness of Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace including legislation, policy and procedures
