Physiotherapist Grade 1/ Grade 2 : Warracknabeal

This is an excellent opportunity for a vibrant Physio to join a multidisciplinary team of dedicated health professionals to deliver quality consumer-focused physiotherapy services across community health and clinical care areas. Working across the campuses of Warracknabeal, Beulah and Hopetoun with a highly diverse caseload, no two days will be the same.

Huge variations in caseload where you will see a range of patients of all ages some with chronic conditions. The workload covers sharing acute patients, residential aged care, outpatients and community and rehabilitation. You will provide quality, outpatient physiotherapy services, including but not limited to- musculoskeletal, cardiac, pulmonary and neurological rehabilitation, disability care and paediatric conditions.

Providing assessment, treatment, effective care plans to the clients and helping them to reach their goals. You will also perform annual mobility and transfer assessments of residents across three residential aged care facilities.

At Grade 2 level there is the opportunity to provide direction, support and guidance for Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiology team members and also offer supervision to students undertaking 3rd or 4th-year placements.

Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or appropriate recognised tertiary qualification in physiotherapy.
  • Registration as a physiotherapist with AHPRA
  • An awareness of current Australian physiotherapy issues and standards.
  • Ability to provide assessment and clinical treatment of referred patients according to recognised professional and ethical standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a broad range of presenting problems and the understanding of the process of consultation and referral to regional agencies.
  • Demonstrated appropriate administrative and report writing skills.
  • Ability to assess (for) and prescribe mobility aids.
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to and willingness to participate in continuing training and education related to area of employment.
  •  Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
  •  Ability to work effectively both within a team and autonomously.
Licenses and registrations:
  • Current employee police check (dated within 12 months of commencement date)
  • Current employee working with Children’s check.
  • Current driver’s licence.
Other requirements:
  • Must provide current evidence of immunisation history and/or serology results
