This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to work in a vibrant multidisciplinary primary care team. This role will allow you to gain experience working with a broad scope of clients. The role will also give you the opportunity to work in acute, aged care and pain clinic environments.

The Physiotherapist will liaise with healthcare providers, providing appropriate assessments, referrals and care. The role will also promote awareness of physiotherapy services to staff, consumers and the community.

This is an excellent opportunity to provide clinical supervision and education of Allied Health Assistants. You will be required to actively participate in coordinated team planning meetings, implementation and evaluation of relevant activities within the Integrated Health Promotion Plan.

 Key Selection Criteria:
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Current Victorian driver’s licence
  • Current and satisfactory National Police Record Certificate
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of timely and appropriate physiotherapy services to inpatients, aged care residents, and primary care clients
  • Willingness to deliver physiotherapy services under a flexible workforce model to meet the changing needs of consumers
  • Current and/or willingness to gain registration with Medicare as a physiotherapy service provider
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, including prioritisation, time-management skills and appropriate case-load management
  • Demonstrated experience in goal-directed care planning
  • Demonstrated experience in working independently, and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • An understanding of Aged Care Funding Instrument and the Aged Care Accreditation process
  • Experience in supervising graduates, junior staff and students
  • An awareness and understanding of rural health
Practice Details:

This is a small rural health service located in the Northern Victorian town of Rochester. It has a large and busy primary care department, providing services in an outpatient setting, group program setting and outreach locations. Services fall under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, Home and Community Care and Medicare Benefits Scheme, the Transition Care Program, National Disability Insurance Scheme and Home Care Packages.
