Physiotherapist - Lorne and Apollo Bay

This is an excellent opportunity for a vibrant Physio to join a multidisciplinary team of dedicated health professionals. Working across Lorne and Apollo Bay with a highly diverse caseload, no two days will be the same.
Providing assessment, treatment and effective care plans, your caseload will include primary care in 1:1 therapeutic consultations for sports injuries (running, surfing etc), trauma or workplace injuries and musculoskeletal deterioration issues. You will also deliver falls prevention and strengthening exercise programs to community clients. You will also see a full range of patients, including active young adults, families with young children, older adults and a portion of the frail aged.

Essential Criteria:
  • Degree in Physiotherapy from an Australian Physiotherapy Council accredited course
  • Current national registration as a physiotherapist with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency
  • Eligible for full membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
  • Current Victorian Motor Vehicle Driver’s License
  • Police check
  • Working with Children Check
EXPERIENCE and/or SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:
  • Extensive clinical knowledge and experience in Physiotherapy
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team with a strong consumer focus
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Demonstrate initiative and systematic approach to problem solving
  • Proficient in the use of information technology
Desirable:
  • Proficiency in group therapy programs
Practice Details:
The well-established organisation is located on the foothills of the Otways, Apollo Bay on Victoria's scenic coastal route, the Great Ocean Road. It is within an hour's travel from the major centres of Geelong and Colac, and 2 hours from Melbourne. It provides a modern work environment well equipped with current technology and equipment. The organisation has a broad range of services including Aged Residential, Acute Hospital, Emergency, Community Health, Home Nursing, Medical, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care.
