Physiotherapist - Omeo

This is an exceptional full-time opportunity for a self-motivated recent graduate or experienced Physiotherapist to work independently within a multidisciplinary team. This will be across a wide range of contexts and conditions to deliver patient services.

You will provide assessments, treatments and care plans. Your caseload will include various musculoskeletal deterioration issues and pain-related conditions. As this is a sole position, you will see a range of clients from children to the elderly. You will also deliver interventions for outpatients (orthopaedics and neurological clients), inpatients (predominantly respiratory and functional decline patients), aged care, community and home-based settings.

Key Essential Criteria:
  • Degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive information and also within the code of conduct and ethical principles as outlined by the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA)
  • Experience and commitment to quality improvement
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the health sector
  • Demonstrated Physiotherapy clinical care skills, experience and ability to manage and prioritise a varied caseload
  • An understanding of Health Policy and funding arrangements for health service delivery
  • Current First Aid certificate, valid Victorian Driver Licence and Current National Police Check
  • Highly professional and effective behaviour, interpersonal and communication skills including computer literacy
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team in an organisational environment of rapid change
  • An understanding of the health issues facing the Omeo District community and surrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to work within the key performance indicators of this position
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing and supervising Allied Health Assistants
