About the Opportunity

Christian Homes Tasmania Inc now has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join their team in Kingborough, TAS.

This role will see you primarily responsible for assessing, planning, organising and participating in rehabilitative programs that help develop, restore and maintain daily living skills and general independence to aged care residents and clients. You will also support and supervise staff involved in rehabilitative, restorative and wellbeing programs.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include:

  • Helping residents/clients to develop and improve mobility and dexterity by implementing appropriate programs;
  • Promoting maximum independence of residents/clients by selecting and constructing therapies according to individual requirements;
  • Playing a lead role in the management the Resident Wellbeing Program and providing regular reports on program activities and future direction;
  • Developing staff understanding of, and involvement in, resident/client wellbeing by providing information, and developing and conducting in-service training programs; and
  • Undertaking Pain Clinic therapies for residents as per Aged Care Funding Instrument guidelines.
