Podiatrist - Lakes Entrance

RWAV

  • Part-time(0.8EFT) or Full-time negotiable position
  • Salary between $53 - $82K per annum depending on experience

An opportunity exists for a Podiatrist to join a well equipped, multi-disciplinary community health organisation located in the beautiful coastal town of Lakes Entrance.

The role is responsible for the delivery of a quality podiatry service to all community members.  It includes the assessment and diagnosis of existing and new conditions; wound care, nail and basic foot care, orthotics, management for people with chronic disease and general footwear advice.

The position is primarily based in Lakes entrance with the opportunity to work at other sites. All the services will be delivered in both private and public models and are funded from a range of sources including Medicare, NDIS and chronic care management. Services may be delivered to individuals, in group settings, in a variety of locations, including on site, in the client’s home, or in an education facility.

Medicare provider number will be required for this role and the practice will assist with this process upon commencement. If you are a podiatrist wanting the next step in a rewarding community role, then apply today!

Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Podiatry and eligibility for registration with the Podiatry Registration Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current podiatry practices and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current policy and practice direction in regard to initial identification of needs, assessment, care planning and service coordination.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the issues concerning confidentiality in a service provision organisation.
  • Demonstrated skills in time management, workload management and negotiation.
  • Ability to work both independently with initiative and enthusiastically within a team setting.
  • Proven ability to liaise with a variety of service providers, professionals and clients both internal and external to our service.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License, Police Check and provision of professional Registration number required prior to finalization of appointment and on renewal.
Desirable:
  • Demonstrated experience in group facilitation skills and an understanding of the principles of self-management.
  • Demonstrated computer experience and knowledge of industry standard software applications.
