Side By Side Psychology is a niche innovative practice for autism spectrum interventions across the lifespan, from preschool aged children through to teens, and adults . There is also a variety of child and adolescent therapy work providing many opportunities to build your skills and expertise. You can also be involved in school holiday therapy programs, and develops group programs.
Based in Mildura a family friendly, regional city on the banks of the magnificent Murray River. Seeking a driven and passionate psychologist who shares the values of the practice and is keen to provide intervention therapy sessions for clients and their families, and immerse themselves in the local community.
Key Selection Criteria: (Please address this in your cover letter)
- Registered Psychologist or Provisional psychologists on 5+1
- Have a current Medicare provider number (or be eligible for one at completion of training) and be prepared to register as a provider with other funding bodies as directed,
- Have sufficient experience and skills to work independently (if registered) and a strong willingness to participate in regular individual and peer/group supervision,
- Have experience completing academic/educational/adaptive assessments and corresponding reports,
- Have demonstrated experience in providing a broad range of evidence-based psychological interventions including CBT
- Demonstrated experience in providing psychological services to children and adolescents
- Approach all aspects of practice with integrity and professionalism
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have good organisation and time management skills
- Be prepared to contribute to our supportive team environment by participating in activities outside of therapy such as program development and practice promotion.
