Programmed Health Professionals have an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for something a little different in the aged care sector.

Our client is seeking Senior Quality Assessors for a 12 month casual placement, 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday, working in an accreditation/quality role.

This role is located in Sydney (Parramatta Office) Start date early March 2021.

About the Role:

We are looking for the right people to join our high performing team who are responsible for the assessing and monitoring the performance of individual aged care providers (residential, home care and flexible care) against the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Quality Assessors roles, which are predominantly field based positions with only occasional attendance at a home office required, undertake visits to aged care services across each state and territory.

Successful candidates will be provided with a training program that is internationally accredited by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare is essential requirement for the positions.

Primary Role Duties include:

1. Undertaking site visits to accreditation audits and performance assessments and for residential aged care services, home care services and flexi-care services either as part of a team or individually.
2. Engaging with aged care service providers to collect information/evidence, including conducting interviews with service staff and management, to support regulatory our functions.
3. Conducting interviews with consumers and/or their representatives about the quality of care and services provided by an aged care service either in person or on the telephone.
4. Collecting and analysing evidence to record audit & assessment findings in written reports, using the Commission's IT applications.
5. Preparing well-reasoned and accurate reports for a delegate, on your assessment of the quality of care and services provided by a service to inform statutory decisions within legislated timeframes.

Travel Expectations:

Extensive travel within each state is an inherent requirement of this role. Travel requirements involve overnight travel each weekly basis each week or fortnight. A current driver's licence is essential to support the travel expectations of the role/s.

To be successful in this role you must have:

• STRONG inter-personal skills
• EXCELLENT written and verbal communication skills
• HIGH Ability to understand and apply knowledge of relevant standards and legislation
• Experience in management is preferable
• A current NSW driver's license
• Rights to work in Australia
• National Criminal Record Check
• Registration as a quality surveyor (this course will be provided to successful applicants)
• Experience prefereable in regulatory, quality, audit or compliance roles
• Clinical and/or Government experience is highly favourable (specific to Aged Care)
