Registered Nurse

As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will join the team at Mt Isa GP Super Clinic, QLD on a Maximum-Term Full-Time basis for 12 months, working approximately 38 hours per week. This is a residential position in Mt Isa. Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of services including however not limited to:

  • High level nursing skills to work autonomously
  • Chronic Disease Management
  • Case management of complex clients, crisis support and advocacy
  • Preventative health activities including health assessment, immunization and opportunistic health education
  • Conduct accurate comprehensive assessment
  • Undertake health screening and health monitoring activities including ECG and spirometry
  • Monitor infection control processes including compliance with sterilisation guidelines

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the successful candidate you will have a high level of nursing skills to be able to work autonomously. You will hold or be able to obtain a current police and working with children check as well as current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with:

  • Chronic Disease Management experience
  • Experience in Occupational Health/General Practice
  • Current Senior First Aid Certification and CPR Certification
  • Current Immunisation Certificate
  • Certificate in Phlebotomy
  • Be able to relocate to Mt Isa
