This is a great opportunity to work for a growing, dynamic allied health practice where you can shape the position to suit your skills and passions.
Managing a varied caseload developing and growing service for children of all ages and with all types of developmental delays and disabilities. The types of children’s services that the speech pathology clinic will provide include feeding assessments for infants, assessment and interventions for toddlers who are delayed in speech and language, individualised early intervention services, utilising sensory interventions and facilitating mulitdisciplinary groups including social skills groups.
Working with adults, the service will consist of swallowing, voice disorder assessments and interventions and working with people with severe physical disabilities or progressive conditions to provide augmentative and alternative communication support. 

Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to achieve desired health outcomes for patients. There is an opportunity for therapists to purchase resources specific to their interest areas. Offering assessments and interventions which can take place in individual's homes, communities, places of learning, place of employment and can be individual or provided in a group setting. Clients include NDIS participants, compensable clients and private referrals.

Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent.
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • At least 5 years Speech Pathology experience.
  • A love for working with children and experience with goal setting, assessment and intervention with children, adolescents and adults with complex needs.
  • A passion for enhancing an individual’s ability to communicate.
  • Experience conducting standardised assessments and experience working with the NDIS.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm in developing individualised therapy sessions.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in supervision of Grade 1 Speech Pathology staff and undergraduate students.
  • Current Victorian Drivers License, police check and Working with Children Check
