Speech Pathologist - Lakes Entrance


  • Full-time or part-time available, no weekends

You will be responsible for providing assessment and management of a interesting diverse caseload with emphasis on supporting paediatric clients. Working collaboratively with the allied health team you will be well supported to provide a coordinated and quality speech pathology service to the local community. The role is primarily based in Lakes Entrance, although you may be required to work at other sites including Bairnsdale. There is also outreach service to support the nearby Indigenous and remote communities.

This position forms part of the Complete Therapies Service responsible for providing Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Podiatry, Exercise Physiology, Art therapy, Hand Therapy, extensive Allied Health Paediatric services, Autism Diagnostic Observation Service, School Readiness Funding Support, Speech Pathology in Schools, Health Promotion programs and daily Social Support Groups. The unit also delivers quality Early Education and Long Day Care and a four-year-old kindergarten program.

Key Essential Criteria:
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Eligibility for membership of SPA (Medicare provider number is required)
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience in current speech pathology practices and outcomes and experience in group development and facilitation
  • Demonstrated excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of the principles of self-management
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting
  • Demonstrated skills in time management and workload management
  • Proven ability to liaise with a variety of internal and external service providers, professionals and clients
  • Have completed (or be willing to complete) the online Supervision and Delegation of Allied Health Assistants Framework
