Are you a new grad or experienced Speech Therapist looking for part-time hours to fit in with family commitments, or seeking full-time career advancement? This well-established friendly private practice provides a flexible work environment with fabulous staff and clients.
There will be lots of variety and a realistic caseload working with Paediatric clients from 0-18 years, with speech, language, fluency, pragmatic & literacy assessments and therapy. Creating a fun and enjoyable service and genuine connections with families to include and encourage them to participate in their child’s therapy.
The role will entail clinic based, home and community based services within the Latrobe Valley region as well as potential provision of telehealth based service.
In addition to clinical work, you will organise and implement group intervention programs such as School Readiness Program, Lego Social Skills Group and Literacy group program. Design and deliver workshops to parents, educators and/or community and be involved with writing funding requests, NDIS service agreements and support letters.

Key Selection Criteria: (please address this in your application)
- Bachelor of Speech Pathology (or equivalent)
- Practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience as a paediatric Speech Pathologist
- Ability to independently manage a Speech Pathology Caseload
- Passionate about providing a service to rural and regional clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to engage in supervision of students at undergraduate levels and Allied Health Assistants would be an advantage
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written skills with particular emphasis on interpersonal communication skills, establishing trust and rapport, maintaining confidentiality and record keeping.
- Demonstrated competence in use of information technology, internet and desktop applications; e.g. Electronic client record systems
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle during work hours
- Working with Children and Satisfactory Police Check
- Current Medicare Provider status (or capacity to obtain)
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
