This is a perfect opportunity where your work will focus on enabling clients in the community to live safely and independently, and where directly impacting the lives of clients and their families in a positive manner is a daily occurrence.
Due to growth there is a new role for a passionate new Graduate/Grade 1 Speech Pathologist to work with a mixed case load. Primarily from birth to primary school ages, capacity building work in preschool early years services. Also working with some adults who have NDIS plans. You will experience wide variety of demographics including, but not limited to, non-English speaking, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, refugees, elderly, and people with a disability.
In this role you will undertake assessments, develop complex communication support and therapy, swallowing assessments and provide intervention to your clients, as well as liaising with families, teachers and other relevant stakeholders.
There is also the opportunity to provide a range of health education, health prevention & early identification programs.
Key Selection Criteria: (Please address this in your cover letter)
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Member of Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience in providing client and family centred evidence based speech pathology services, including thorough care planning
- An understanding of confidentiality and infection control
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Highly developed problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
- Current drivers licence, Working with Children and Police Check
