Support Worker - Immediate Start

Ontime Healthcare is a NDIS registered service provider assisting clients to remain living independently in their homes. Founded in 1998, we began by providing staffing solutions to hospitals and nursing homes throughout rural Victoria. Ontime Healthcare has expanded into the homecare, aged and disability sector in metropolitan Melbourne where we have developed strong relationships with our pool of existing and new clients.

We are currently seeking casual Support Workers in the Western & South East Areas of Melbourne with experience in homecare who are willing to travel to client homes to provide ongoing care.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker your role will be to assist a diverse range of clients including aged and disability; this includes:
· In home services such as personal care, daily living activities including showering, personal hygiene, food preparation and domestic cleaning
· Aid with daily living tasks including domestic assistance
· Provide regular and/or casual respite for primary carers
· Support to participate in community based recreational and social activities
· Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments
Essential Ongoing Qualifications/Licences:
· A demonstrated ability to be reliable, responsive, committed, client focused, empathetic and flexible
· Excellent communication and verbal skills
· Accredited training i.e. a Certificate III in Home and Community Care, Aged Care, Individual Support or Certificate IV in Disability
· Availability to cover a range of shifts across the week including mornings, evenings and weekends
· A minimum of 6 months experience working in Community Care, Aged Care or Disability Sector (desirable)
· A current Driver’s Licence, registered vehicle, reliable car and full comprehensive insurance
· A National Police History Check and/or Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
· A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
· A current Working with Children Check will also be required
· Evidence of professional development i.e. Basic Life Support, Manual Handling, Safe Food Handling and Hand Hygiene
