To be Successful:

• Certificate III or IV qualification in a relevant field such as Individual Support or Disability
• Fully Vaccinated (3 x Covid shots, Flu Vaccination, Proof of immunity towards Whooping cough, measles, HepB and chicken pox)
• Full Working rights
• Currently hold or willing to obtain a National Police Check
• 6 months plus paid experience in providing care and support to individuals with a range of needs
• Current Working with Children Check, CPR and First Aide ( level 2 )
• Current Australian Drivers License

Who are we looking for:

If you have explored the thought of working for facilites and branching our into community work then we are looking for you. We have a high demand for enthusiastic and compassionate support workers and personal care workers to join our team in Bendigo and surrounding suburbs in both a residential aged care settings and for in home support. You will be responsible for providing practical and emotional support to individuals with a range of needs, including but not limited to, disabilities, mental health conditions, and elderly care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individuals with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
• Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, ensuring their wellbeing and safety
• Assist individuals with their medication and attend medical appointments with them as required
• Promote independence and encourage individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations
• Maintain accurate records and document all activities in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with other professionals involved in the individual's care, including family members, social workers, and healthcare professionals
• Attend regular team meetings and participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Other Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• NDIS Screening Check – not essential but highly desirable
• Empathy, compassion, and a positive attitude towards supporting others
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect individuals' privacy
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and willingness to follow company policies and procedures
