Team Leader - Sumner House

St Vincent's Hospital

About the Role

You will lead the CIRF-BHHP multi-disciplinary team, including operational responsibility for delivery of nursing, care coordination and medical support, to ensure a safe and restorative environment for residents and staff and provide clinical management, advice and support.

You will:

  • Provide operational and clinical leadership to the team to ensure the delivery of an effective and safe service
  • Coordinate intake, referral and allocation including liaison with relevant government, health and community departments.
  • Coordinate allocation of clients to care coordination staff
  • Work collaboratively with our partner housing organisations
  • Provide clinical advice/support regarding management of residents
  • Manage day to day clinical operations of the Fitzroy site

It is noted this position will be working within an evolving situation and it is recognised that duties, within scope, may need to change in response to the needs of the pandemic.

Classifications for this position will range from RN Grade 5 (ZB7) or Allied Health Grade 3 (VG6), or as negotiated depending on skills and experience. ($109,917 - $110,333 per annum).

Your Contribution

  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ post-graduate experience.
  • Current registration with AHPRA (Registered Nurse or applicable Allied Health)
  • Clinical expertise in Acute Care, Alcohol and Other Drug, Mental Health, or Homeless Health
  • Postgraduate Qualification, relative to field of practice (preferably at Masters level)
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in comprehensive assessment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support an interdisciplinary team
  • Highly developed organisation, planning and problem solving skills
  • Well-developed teaching and education skills

Additionally you will provide:

  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
  • Current Driver's License
