THE ROLE

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient care? We’re looking for a dedicated Treatment Room Specialist to join our healthcare team! In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience while supporting our healthcare professionals.

• Perform a variety of clinical tasks under the guidance of healthcare providers, including vaccinations, ECGs, wound dressings, and procedure setup.
• Assist with ongoing patient monitoring, triage, and escalation as needed.
• Contribute to health assessments and care plans when required.
• Serve as the contact person for cold chain management, infection control, and sterilization protocols.
• Greet patients warmly and build professional relationships to ease their experience before treatments and procedures.
• Manage patient flow effectively to ensure an efficient and pleasant experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
• Support the Practice Manager with rostering, recruitment, and performance management.
• Identify and report hazards related to your work area, following the established hazard reporting protocols.
• Support decision making with thorough analysis and factual data
• Exhibit effective project management skills, ensuring timely delivery of tasks
• Demonstrate a strong business acumen and decision making, with a problem solving approach.
• Collaborate across functions, and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Take ownership of tasks and responsibilities, demonstrating personal commitment.
• Coach and mentor colleagues at all levels, contributing to a supportive team culture
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, addressing any exceptions promptly.
• Manage treatment room supplies, ensuring all consumables, including vaccines, are current and well-stocked.
• Maintain a clean and organised treatment room, reporting any broken equipment for repairs
• Conduct audits within the specified timeframe and address any discrepancies.
• Adhere to safe working practices and comply with company WHS policies.
• Report all incidents, accidents, or injuries to management within 24 hours using the appropriate reporting procedures.

THE ESSENTIALS

• Registered Nurse with Cert IV in Training, Assessment, and Evaluation.
• Current Driver's License.
• Minimum of 3 years’ direct clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in nursing mentorship, education, supervision, or management, with a preference for primary health care or community/ambulatory care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong leadership and relationship development skills.
• Proficient in problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• Exceptional planning and organising capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
• High level of clinical knowledge complemented by strong critical thinking skills.
